Important notes:

Make sure that the delivery of the hatching eggs is accepted personally on the day of delivery to protect them from heat or cold. The eggs are extremely sensitive.
Please download the ÖTZ Hatching eggs journal and the ÖTZ Management guide for chick rearing. These documents provide you with valuable support when hatching and rearing your chicks.

ÖTZ is partnering with the RegioHuhn project and will begin offering hatching eggs from this project starting in March 2026. This partnership is limited exclusively to the distribution of hatching eggs—not to breeding or breeding strategies.

The “RegioHuhn” project, funded by the Federal Organic Farming Program (BÖL), aims to crossbreed regional breeds with modern commercial chickens. The goal is to combine the hardiness and regional adaptability of old breeds with the productivity of modern breeding lines. You can learn more about the RegioHuhn project here.

Invoicing

Prepayment: By default, billing takes place before shipping including shipping costs. Selectable means of payment: Paypal or credit card.

Orders over 280 eggs: Shipment by forwarding agent, uncooled on pallet.

Availability

Hatching eggs are natural products and not stock items. After receiving your order, we check whether the desired quantity is available and whether the delivery date is feasible. We will then confirm your order.

If the eggs you want are not available, we will be happy to offer you an alternative.
