description

Hatching eggs Wild Duck

The hatching eggs are selected with the utmost care, securely packaged and then delivered directly to you. So you start the hatching process with the best conditions.

Important notes:

  • Personal acceptance: Make sure that the delivery of the hatching eggs is accepted personally on the day of delivery to protect them from heat or cold. The eggs are extremely sensitive.
  • Well prepared: Please download the ÖTZ Hatching eggs journal and the ÖTZ Management guide for chick rearing. These documents provide you with valuable support when hatching and rearing your chicks.

Tip for slaughtering:

Ducks in moult (change of feathers) are very difficult to pluck, so it is advisable to take a close look. 3 weeks after the moulting starting point (you can recognize this by the many downy feathers that are then suddenly lying in the coop/run), wait another 4 weeks and the small new feathers will be big enough to be plucked easily! The 1st moult takes place between the 8th and 11th week (depending on the weather and feed).

Good luck and above all: lots of fun with your Wild Ducks!
